Sitting through this inane film is an absolute torture and one should
consider himself lucky he comes out of the hall without a headache.
The film throws together an apology of a plot, hamming actors, plenty
of double innuendo dialogues, badly picturised songs and a director who
doesn’t know his job. If this all has not put off you already about the
film then read ahead what this mega torture is all about.

Abhishek Bachan tells Jyothi
tells Venkatesh that Drona failed to click at the box office because
its screenplay was its undoing and also adds that he and Ash have no
plans to have a baby as of now.
The film has not taken the box office by storm but when I meet him for
this interview at his office in the bungalow Janak, Abhishek tells me
that what appealed to him when he was offered the film Delhi 6 was the
fact that though Roshan is an American by mind, he is an Indian by
heart.

Delhi 6 is a delightful musical run through the Hindu and Muslim
cultures of Old Delhi as seen through the eyes of protagonist Roshan
(Abhishek Bachchan) who comes to India to fulfill the desire of his
terminally ill Daadi (Waheeda Rehman) to spend the last days of her
life in her hometown. As Roshan after a brief culture shock, tries to
understand the complexities of relations that kept his people apart
from each other as well as close to each other, he slowly gets attached
to Bittu (Sonam Kapoor) and the chemistry grows, which is very
convincingly directed using rich background music and believable
day-to-day situations.

'Hum Aap Aur Pyaar' is going to be the next major release of Upen Patel
where he would be seen as a central protagonist. As the title of the
film conveys, 'Hum Aap Aur Pyaar' is a musical romantic entertainer
with dollops of comedy thrown in, something that makes Upen quite
hopeful about the film's prospects.

«Never before has a film from (India) been
accepted like this and embraced in the West, and you know, been awarded with
these sorts of accolades» - this was how the young protagonist of Slumdog Millionaire,
Dev Patel, reacted at to AP's queries at the Premiere of the film in Mumbai.
And this really is the case with the film which is now among the Oscar toppers
and has four Golden Globes under its belt.

We read about how Himesh Reshammiya has refused to sing for A R Rahman. But Rahman says he has never met Reshammiya.
Laughs the softpoken maestro sarcastically, "Our communication has been only through the press. He told the press he wanted to sing for me. I told the press I had composed a song that would suit his voice. To this he replied again through the press that he didn't want to sing for me. We've not met. We haven't exchanged a call or an sms."

Whatever Akshay Kumar does, he does it with style. If he comes up with
two huge money spinners in the form of 'Singh Is Kinng' and 'Welcome',
his flops too never fail to make news. Last year it was 'Tashan', which
in spite of being a failure went on to garner over 30 crores just from
India box office. This year it is 'Chandni Chowk To China' which
dropped miserably after the opening weekend but already has 30 crores
in it's kitty (from India). And yes, it is going to surpass the total
of 'Tashan'!
