18th April was a big day on the sets of the Star One serial Saathii
Re. The cast and crew of the show had double reasons to celebrate. Not
only have
they successfully completed 100 episodes, but Aamir Dalvi, who plays Rajiv
in the serial, had a surprise for them.
It is usually that the cast celebrates by cutting cakes and partying but
Aamir had other plans. He had got T-shirts for the entire crew. "I had this
in mind since the beginning, to do something for the crew. They are also
behind the success of a serial, after all" says the actor.
The white colored T-shirts had 'Saathi Re… 100' printed on them in red.
Nobody had a clue as to what was in store for them and it came as a big
surprise when Aamir presented the stuff to them.
Aamir's elder brother had helped him out with the T-shirts and he is
grateful to him for the help. "There were around a hundred pieces and within
minutes all got distributed" informs Aamir. The whole crew ended up wearing
the T-shirts all throughout the day.
This was not all. Aamir had also ordered a cake which was cut after lunch.
The whole cast and crew was made a part of the celebration. "There was a lot
of cheering and congratulating when the cake was being cut", says an excited
Aamir.
Looks like, the excitement is even more as the whole crew admitted to being
touched by this gesture of Aamir.
