Bollywood romances-on-demand for North America

Millions of cable subscribers across North America are all set to get star-studded Bollywood romances-on-demand as part of Bodvod Networks' Summer of Love promotion.

The centrepiece for Summer of Love is "Umrao Jaan" starring India's hottest couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan in an epic love story set in the Moghul era, Bodvod, one of the largest digital distributors of South Asian content in the world, announced here Thursday.

The campaign runs until October and the films will be available anytime on the Time Warner, Cox and Rogers cable systems throughout the United States and Canada, it said.

Other hit titles include "Jaan-E-Mann" starring Bollywood box office sensations Preity Zinta, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar and "Mixed Doubles" starring acclaimed actors Konkona Sen Sharma and Naseeruddin Shah.

"With this Summer of Love campaign, we continue to meet the demands of our consumers by providing the newest titles," said Vin Bhat, General Manager of Bodvod Networks.

Bodvod provides the first national video on demand (VOD) services offering Bollywood and South Asian content through over 30 major distribution affiliates.

The Company also provides marketing support and media for its affiliates to help them reach the passionate audience for Bollywood and other South Asian content.
