Divya Khosla Kumar, who starred in "Ab Tumhare Hawaalen Watan
Saathiyon" has decided to do her bit to stop film piracy. She believes it's
high time the music industry fights against the menace that has plagued this
industry for so long. And taking an initiative, she has produced a short
video clip that hits out at pirated VCDs/DVDs that floats in the market,
which result in losses of millions to the music industry.
This 45 sec video shows the protagonist, television actor Manini De, a
wealthy woman, being the object of mockery as a result of possessing pirated
CDs
Divya Khosla Kumar who is married to Bhushan Kumar, is one lady who
doesn't believe in wasting her time. She has been more than active in her
husband's company, T-Series, and taking care of the overall administrative
duties. She has also joined the bandwagon by turning into a director.
When asked about why she has chosen this to be her directorial debut, this
graceful woman said, "Our music industry faces huge losses due to piracy,
which overshadows our artistes' talent and all the hard work. Most people
don't realize the consequences when they pick up a pirated Vcd or Dvd.
Thousands of people suffer and are even rendered homeless. I felt it was
high time we stopped this murky business. And a commercial is the best way
to make the public aware that they are indulging in a crime"
Well, with such good intentions, we are definitely sure your efforts won't
go unnoticed!
