My film not adapted: Siddharth Anand

There
is a strong rumour that Ranbir Kapoor's post-debut film, to be directed
by childhood friend Siddharth Anand, is a remake of Hollywood romantic
comedy "The Bachelor".
But the young Anand, currently scripting the movie, completely denies adapting it from Gary Sinyor's 1999 film.
"My
film is certainly not adapted from any source. It's as much 'The
Bachelor' as my 'Ta Ra Rum Pum' was 'Reservoir Dogs'," Anand told IANS.
Ranbir,
the son of Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, is debuting with Sanjay Leela
Bhansali's "Saawariya" and the rumours of him doing Chris O'Donnel's
role from "The Bachelor" originated from the casting of several
prominent leading ladies opposite the young actor.
While Katrina
Kaif plays one of the leading ladies, Deepika Padukone, who stars with
Shah Rukh Khan in "Om Shanti Om", has been finalised to play another
lead.
