 Johnny Gaddar man Neil Nitin Mukesh visited Thane jail few days back as
the actor now has started shooting for his forthcoming film “Jail”
which is directed by Madhur Bhandarkar,he spend more then 4 hours in
jail and interacted with some under trails people.
We spoke to Neil Nitin Mukesh about his four hour visit and more
“Earlier I had different approach for all the convicts but after
visiting the Thane Jail and spending with them 4 hours has completely
changed my perspective towards them and for this Jail visit I was
accompanied by Madhur, writer of the film and cinematographer.”
Further he spoke that,” I met one convict whose court trial didn’t come
since 2 years and he was innocent as how my character is falsefully
charged similarly he was charged for possessing drugs but in real he
was having just cigarettes and about the interaction with the convicts
he said that.” I will never forget those voices and faces as
unfortunately we were not allowed to speak with the convicts who have
death sentence then later on we all ate with the convicts the same food
and I was personally very surprised that food was very good.”
He got quite emotional when some convicts call him as Johnny Gaddar wala hero aaya hai...”and some didn’t recognize him.”
About his role in Jail
Neil Nitin Mukesh play the character called Parag Dixit who is a middle
class boy working in the corporate sector and how after sudden incident
put him in to “Jail”,while his love interest in the film is Fashion
girl Mugdha Godse.The main course of shooting will begin in April and
its slated to release by the end of 2009.
