Bollywood’s once ruling queen, Rani Mukerji almost vanished from the silver screen after her last film Dil Bole Hadippa scored average at the Box Office. Now, after a gap of more than a year, the actress is again hitting the headlines but for the wrong reasons!
The real-life story of assassinated Delhi based model Jessica Lal has
inspired filmmaker Ronnie Screwvala to make a movie on that subject.
Now, the first trailer of the movie titled 'No One Killed Jessica' has
come out and Rani Mukerji is portraying the role of a reporter in the
movie.
Vidya Balan plays the role of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal, in
the movie. Everything was fine until the trailer of the movie hit the
YouTube. Rani Mukerji is returning to the silver screen with a
controversial movie and a more controversial trailer, which shows the
actress clearly showing her middle finger. This has definitely caught
the eyeballs of the Censor Board, which has asked the makers of the film
to blur the middle finger as it looks very offensive for family
viewing.
In fact, director Rajkumar Gupta is also very disappointed with his
film’s promo being aired in the wrong context. He said that the first
trailer should have appeared in a positive context. An UTV official has
said that the particular part will blurred when the trailer appears in
television.
It comes as a shocking news for many Rani Mukerji fans because she
has been known as a very decent actress with sober and bubbly image. No
one expected to see her pointing like that on screen so deliberately.
Hope the makers do the needful and Rani’s return to big screen does not
turn out to be futile!
