 Bollywood King Khan, Shah Rukh, has turned the highest tax payer in
the industry for the second quarter of the financial year 2011. He has
paid a total of Rs. 5 crore as income tax.
Earlier, Akshay Kumar was the leading man in Bollywood paying highest
tax. This time, Akshay has slipped to second position by paying 4.5
crore. Aamir Khan has come next to these two stars after paying 4 crore.
Saif Ali Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have become the next highest tax payer
as they shelled out 2.5 crore each.
In the last quarter, Katrina Kaif paid Rs. 1 crore but this time it
has increased to 1.3 crore. Kareena Kapoor has made a payment of Rs. 1
crore as tax in this quarter.
Shah Rukh Khan has made it clear that he is the ‘Baadshah of
Bollywood’. His arch rival Salman Khan has taken the sixth position by
shelling out Rs. 2 crore to the government.
Coming to the Bollywood directors, the leading tax payers in the
second quarter are Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Vishal Bhardwaj as they
paid Rs. 50 lakhs and Rs. 25 lakhs respectively.
Among the young brigade, Ranbir Kapoor is the only name in the top list and that is obvious from his consecutive hits this year.
