 2008 saw debutants like Imran Khan, Hurman Baweja, Farhan Akhtar, Prachi
Desai, Rajeev Khandelwal and Asin and now in the New year 2009 there are
debutants who will try to make it big in Bollywood.
Jacqueline Fernandes
Jacqueline Fernandes, Miss Sri Lanka 2006, is all set to enter
Bollywood in Sujoy Ghosh's Aladin. She plays the character of Jasmine
while Aladin is none other than Ritiesh Deshmukh. The film is expected
to release in summer 2009.
Pakhi Tyrewala
She is the wife of Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na director Abbas Tyrewala. She is
debuting with John Abraham in 1-800 Love. The film is directed by Abbas
himself. This film will be produced by John Abraham.The film's shooting
will commence by March 2009 in Boston and its expecting to release by
end of 2009.
Jackky Bhagnani
He is the son of producer Vashu Bhagnani and he is launching his son in
“Kal Kissne Dekha”. This film is directed by Bhoothnath director Vivek
Sharma. This film will see many guest appearances made by stars like
SRK, Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla. The film is expected to release by
April-May 2009
Lisa Lazarus
Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Veer has Miss UK Lisa Lazarus in the
female lead. Lisa Lazarus is the winner of Miss Universe UK, 2008. Its
said that she is look alike of Salman’s lady love Katrina. She had
started shooting for the film and the film is expected to release by
mid 2009.
Mona Singh
Our Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi's lead Mona is debuting this year in Rajkumar
Hirani’s 3 Idiots. Mona is playing Kareena Kapoor’s on-screen sister
and her fans will be surprised her to see on big screen this December.
Vaishali Desai
Vaishali is the lead actress in the new Vashu Bhagnani
romantic-thriller Kal Kisne Dekha which is due to hit the theatres in
April 2009. She stars opposite Jackie Bhagnani. She is grand niece of
famous director Manmohan Desai. She won Miss India, 2005.
We hope that these new comers will make a mark in Bollywood in year 2009.
