 One of the major high points in the life of the serial, Balika Vadhu,
was the death of Pratap (Jehangir Vakil). That incident brought in TRPs
of almost 9. Now the audience is hooked again to the serial they so
loved once upon a time, and largely ignored for the better part of this
year. The reason is the sudden onslaught of promos on the channel,
Colors, that airs the show. These promos lead to a series of questions
in the minds of the now faithful audience – Will Anandi die in the show?
What will happen to the story if the protagonist dies?
According to our source, “Jagya (Avinash Mukherjee) will leave the
house when he gets very low marks in his exams. Anandi (Avika Gor) will
go looking for him, despite restrictions from the family. This will lead
to a tragic incident, which will be dangerous for Anandi, maybe even
fatal. Anandi may be shown dying, and this may lead to a new track, or a
new cast. Or maybe she will be in a coma, and re-appear on the show
later.”
The agenda of the channel may be to regain its dipping TRPs. This
track may just work wonders for the show. However, according to our
source, it may not be a deliberate move, but a forced one, given that
both the young protagonists have their final exams soon, and may not be
able to shoot for a while. “The story will concentrate more on the
family members during this time,” adds our source.
Producer Sanjoy Waddhva remained unavailable for comments. We can
only wait and watch. Masa may have enough histrionic abilities to
entertain the audience, but Anandi in a new avatar may face
repercussions.
