 The very beautiful Jennifer Winget is busy these days with
preparations and festivities for her upcoming wedding, but it’s not the
first time she is tying the knot. It is, in fact, the sixth time
Jennifer will be taking the plunge! Of course, we are talking about her
reel life as she definitely hasn’t gotten married in real life, but the
chirpy actress has played the bride on-screen so many times now that
she has almost lost count.
“Yes, my wedding ceremonies are going on in the show ‘Dill Mill
Gaye’…” says the gorgeous Jennifer as she quips that this avatar is
nothing new to her anymore. She adds that at this point she can
basically conduct a whole wedding ceremony on her own as she has not
only witnessed but participated in so many herself. “I was married
twice in ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’ and thrice in ‘Sangam’ and now I’m
going through all those ceremony sequences again in my current show, so
I know the rituals in and out.” chuckles Jennifer.
Numerous weddings between the same few characters are nothing new
for Indian television, not only for the women but the men as well.
Remember Anurag (Cezzane Khan) who got married four times in ‘Kasutii
Zindagii Kay’? Taking pheras around the holy fire has become so
commonplace for most actors that there’s no excitement in it anymore.
No wonder actresses like Jennifer are uber cool and casual about their
on-screen nuptials. But it does make one wonder… doesn’t it make one
think about getting married in reality? Jennifer claims otherwise. “In
real life, whenever I get married, it will be in a church, and
everything will be different. But as all girls are, I’m fascinated with
all these rituals and clothes and jewelry, and I’m happy that I get to
play out these things as my characters. As for my actual wedding,
everyone will come to know when the special day arrives.” says Jennifer.
So for now, we have to wait and see whether this wedding actually
takes place or whether Dr. Riddhima somehow avoids getting married to
Dr. Sid (Karan Wahi), which is going to lead to the next big twist in
the story. But, if Jennifer’s character drops her plans of dying, then
it would be Dr. Riddhima’s first and Jennifer’s sixth wedding. Way to
go!
