A Hong Kong-based Kung Fu star was in this Himachal Pradesh resort town to make a television serial on Tibetan Buddhists living in India and Tibet.
Max Mok Sui-Chung, who has acted in around 90 films, arrived here earlier this week. He met Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama twice and the 17th Karmapa, Ugyen Trinley Dorjee, to get their inputs for his upcoming serial "Qinghai", a province in Tibet.
"I am often told in Hong Kong that I look like an Indian. I am here in search of inner peace," said Max. "Later in life I plan to become a Buddhist monk."
Max, whose films are very popular in China, was accompanied by his co-star and friend Hang Yan.
Dharamsala is the seat of the Tibetan government in exile and is home to thousands of Tibetans.
