The nation seems to be divided on the most irrelevant issue of our
times - Will Rahul Mahajan marry the girl he has chosen, given the
recent demise of his uncle, Pravin Mahajan? If one is a traditionalist,
then one can argue that a bereaved family has no business preparing for a
wedding. Not for a year, ideally, but exceptions can be made to
accommodate previous commitments 12 days after the unfortunate event. If
one is a little less rigid, then one can take the more convenient
approach that justifies Rahul's stand - Why should Rahul mourn for the
man who killed his father? Blood is not always thicker than water.

One of the major high points in the life of the serial, Balika Vadhu,
was the death of Pratap (Jehangir Vakil). That incident brought in TRPs
of almost 9. Now the audience is hooked again to the serial they so
loved once upon a time, and largely ignored for the better part of this
year. The reason is the sudden onslaught of promos on the channel,
Colors, that airs the show. These promos lead to a series of questions
in the minds of the now faithful audience – Will Anandi die in the show?
What will happen to the story if the protagonist dies?
