Summary
The family consists of father – Bhanushankar Kudkudiya a 50+ bore. Bhanubhai is a chauvinistic fanatic. His world is his Farsan shop & his son is his property. This is what his son Hitesh detests about him. Hitesh has aspirations to become a film star someday and the family shifted to Mumbai to fan his ambitions. But his family is greatly interfering in his personal life which is why even the measely roles he managed to get in small time films went naught. Hitesh’s only rescue is his dadi Dayaben, who at her ripe old age is still very young at heart and manages to keep abreast of all the happenings in tinsel town, which again is diametrically opposite to her daughter-in-law who is boring and innocent to the height of stupidity and is not aware of anything apart from her house and kitchen. Since Hitesh didn’t succeed too well in the film industry, dadi suggested that they start a chat show in their backyard – this way Hitesh can nurse his deep rooted ambition and with celebrities walking in to the house every week, one day, someone will ask Hitesh for a dream role, for sure!
