'Mungaru Male' reigns over Kannada music market

The album of "Mungaru Male" has been no less successful than the film and is rocking the charts this week.
The top five Kannada films are:
1.
"Mungaru Male" - Distributors Anand Audio reportedly paid around
Rs.500,000 for the marketing rights of the album. The returns have been
about 50 times as much. Music director Mano Murthy has composed his
best songs for the film -- "Anisuthidhe yaako eno", "Araluitidhe" and
"Mungaru maleye".
2. "Duniya" - The songs picked up after the
release of the film. The popularity of the song "Kariya I love you" has
immensely benefited the album's marketing. Since the film is doing well
at the ticket window, audio sales are also showing an increasing trend.
The album's success has given a new lease of life to its composer V.
Manohar.
3. "Hudugaata" - The success of "Mungaru Male" has made
Ganesh a star and his presence in "Hudugaata" has benefited the music
of the film. The audio is a huge success. The songs of the yet
unreleased film are well choreographed.
4. "Pallakki" -
"Kannalli neene neene" is a hugely popular song. Composer Guru Kiran
can breathe easy now, as the album's success has brought him back into
the reckoning.
5. "73, Shanthi Nivasa" - Actor Sudeep tasted
huge success in the audio market with "My Autograph". His "73, Shanthi
Nivasa" too has some melodious songs composed by Bharadwaj. The audio
is showing impressive sales records. Analysts feel that it may do
better after the film's release. "Geeya Geeya" is a popular song.
