Unhappy childhood made me strong: Rihanna

Singer Rihanna reveals that a traumatic childhood turned her
into a strong woman. She said her father was addicted to cocaine
and that gave her drive and the determination to succeed.
She said: "Even as a toddler, I learned that my mum and dad
would argue when there was foil paper in the ashtray."
"Everybody has something that makes them strong in their life. My
childhood experiences helped to make me a stronger person and a
stronger woman. That is very necessary in this industry and in this
career. I need to be strong and I need to be very responsible. My
childhood helped me to do that," she added.
