The Tamil film industry has opened up a new page in the history of Indian cinema this year. According to reports in the media, a total number of 150 films have been produced from Kollywood in the year 2010, a number which was never before achieved in the history of Kollywood cinema. While this fact on the one hand has made the filmmakers and actors of Tamil cinema happy, the producers and distributors of the films have not stopped complaining because a huge percentage of Tamil films released in the year 2010 have failed to bring box office returns.

Star Plus prime time show ‘Chand Chupa Badal Mein’ has shot some romantic scenes between Nivedita and her hubby Viren but the couple is yet to enter the real married life. Nivi has come out of her past life but she is yet finding it tough to accept Viren.

Vibha Anand, the bubbly ‘Sugna’ of Colors’ popular show ‘Balika Vadhu’, has left the show to take up the lead role in Zee TV’s upcoming show ‘Sanskar Laxmi’. The actress has confirmed the news saying that she is not shooting for ‘Balika Vadhu’ since last two weeks.

Prabhu Deva is finally free from the shackles of his first marriage with Ramalath. According to reports in the media, the couple have opted for a mutual divorce at a First Additional Family Court in Chennai. It was just a few months ago that media reports were rife with Ramalath threatening to go on hunger strike if Prabhu Deva went ahead and married his new found love actress Nayantara. Ramalath was even heard fighting for a reunion with Prabhu Deva after reports of his affair with Nayantara surfaced in the media. The mutual divorce will come as a relief for both Prabhu Deva and Nayantara, both of whom have been highly criticized by the media and several organizations in Tamil Nadu.

Shah Rukh Khan seems to be in love with the action genre. After his home production Ra.One and his upcoming release Don 2, the actor will reportedly be seen in the sequel to the 2006 superhit film Krrish. According to reports circulating in the media, Shah Rukh Khan is joining the star cast of Krrish 2 as one of the film’s negative characters. Though nothing has been confirmed on an official basis, with director Rakesh Roshan refusing to comment, a source has revealed in a statement to the media that SRK has given his nod to the film under the condition that the Hrithik Roshan starrer releases after his own superhero flick Ra.One.

Zee TV’s popular primetime show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ has again come with a new twist but this time the concentration has shifted to Vaishali (Prarthana Behere), the youngest sister of the lead actress Archana (Ankita Lokhande). The track of Vaishali and Dharmesh’s (Sumit Arora) married life was sidelined for few days but now the main storyline will be around them only.

Chetan Bhagat’s novel ‘2 States’, which is going to make a big screen entry in Bollywood, has now got new hero, new director and may be a fresh heroine too! Initially, when Sajid Nadiadwala was the only producer for the film, Siddharth Anand was supposed to direct the movie with Priyanka Chopra and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles.

Television actor Gurmeet Choudhary is missing his partner Debina Bonnerjee as she spends her days in Argentina shooting for the television reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’. Debina Bonnerjee is one of the participants in the ‘Wipe Out’ inspired reality show which will go on air on Imagine TV next year.
