Gopichand starrer 'Okkadunnadu' reigns Telugu cinema

"Okkadunnadu", the slick action thriller starring promising actor-director Gopichand, stays on the top of the Telugu films list.

The top five Telugu films are:

1. "Okkadunnadu" - Gopichand's new look and director Chandrashekar Yeleti's stylish narration have made the film a big winner.

2. "Jagadam" - Director Sukumar of "Arya" fame would have impressed more with this film had it not been just a rehash of "City of God". It holds the second position on this list for the time being.

3. "Evadaithe Nakenti" - The film's success has brought almost-written-off actor Rajasekhar back into the limelight. A gripping screenplay helps the fortunes of the remake of the Malayalam hit "Lion".

4. "Madhumasam" - Surprise hit of this season, it is a love story between diametrically opposite individuals. It brings producer D. Ramanaidu back into the reckoning and re-assures Sumanth that he can still draw crowds.

5. "Desamuduru" - After a 50-day run, this film is still doing well. Director Puri and actor Allu Arjun prove a strong team at the box office.
