 Prithivraj starrer Malayalam film Anwar has got a great opening on
last Friday as it was released in 98 centres including four in
Bangalore.
Red Carpet Movies has produced the movie, which has been directed by
Amal Neerad. The director’s previous movies like Big B and Sagar Elias
Jacky received appreciations from the critics and the masses. It is a
full length thriller movie based on terrorism and religion. Gopi Sundar
has given the music of the movie and the songs were captured at the
Shittey valley.
Three new faces have worked in the technical section of the movie.
These new faces are poster designer Sreejith, cameraman Satheesh Kurup
and Shahin Thaaha, who was the man its publicity stills.
Anwar was shot in three different formats like Super 35, Super 16
and 17. It is also full of many of slow motion sequences and action. It
has a contemporary story and made with a shoe-string budget. It is
claimed to be a technically perfect movie. Mamta is the heroine of the
film. Prakash Raj and Lal can be seen playing important roles in this
movie. It has received mixed critical reaction and the fate of the movie
is yet to be decided when it completes one week this Friday.
