Noted character actor Sreenivasan's son Vineet, who is an
accomplished playback singer, will debut as an actor in Malayalam
film "Cycle". "It was a role that came by accidentally when the
script writer of the film, James, asked me if I could play the
role. I spoke to my father and he agreed," Vineet told reporters at
the muharat of the film here Friday.
Vineet has sung songs in Malayalam blockbusters like "Udayan anu
Tharam" and "Rasathanthram", both Mohanlal starrers.
"Cycle" is being directed by Johnny Antony, who has directed hugely
popular films like "CID Moosa" and "Kochi Rajavu", both starring
Dileep, as well as Mammootty's "Thurupugulan".
"'Cycle' is about four people whose life undergoes a dramatic
change after their dreams fall flat. I play the role of person who
becomes an office peon after dropping out from an engineering
college. The film revolves around a shopping complex," said Vineet,
adding that he could also sing songs for the film.
The other lead actors in the film include Bhama and Vinu Mohan,
whose debut film "Naivadiyam" is still running.
Shooting for "Cycle" will begin here in October. The film is being
