Parvathi Ommankuttan makes her Kollywood debut

Parvathi OmmankuttanParvathi Ommankuttan who has participated in the Miss World Contest has now become a heroine. She is debuting as heroine in the Tamil film Umamaheshwaram. Nithin Ramakrishna is directing this film. This film is being produced by Roopesh Kumar.

Launching of this film was held yesterday at AVM Studios. Parvathi, while speaking to the media said,” I was born in Kerala and brought up in Mumbai. I am not sad because I have not won the Miss World title. I have faith in God. If he closes one door, he will open another. That is how I have got the chance to act. The first film I had acted was a Hindi film titled United 26. Acting in cinema was a new experience for me. After this film I got the opportunity to act in Umamaheshwaram. I liked the story of this film, which is about women problems. I am donning the role of a Bharathanatiyam dancer."

When asked about the difference in her roles in the Hindi film to this film, she said. "I acted glamorously in the Hindi films which I was introduced. There is nothing wrong acting in glamour roles as long as the story demands it. In the same way, I feel about acting in kissing scenes and wearing swim suits. I will act in the kissing scenes if it is required for the story and I wouldn’t mind wearing swimming costume if the story demands it. But there is a limit for glamour. I will not exceed the limits. I like Rajnikanth, Kamal Haasan, Sridevi, Vikram, Vijay and Surya. I want to act with all of them.”
