Sandalwood Heroines Get 30% Of A Hero’s Salary: Nidhi Subbaiah

 Kannada actress Nidhi Subbaiah has become very choosy about signing
films these days. The 26-year old actress says that people takes notice
of characters of substance rather than typical commercial heroines, so
she is trying that formula.
Nidhi says that she loves to look hot
on-screen as it helps in boosting a heroine’s career. But her roles in
most of her projects demand to wear least make-up. She has just returned
from Thailand after completing shooting for her upcoming Sandalwood
film Krishnan Marriage Story. Informing about this, Nidhi says
that she was there for eight days and shot a dream song sequence as well
as a romantic song sequence. She adds that the weather was cool and she
enjoyed shooting there.
However, the actress has one complaint
against the Kannada film industry, which does not pay well to its
heroines. Nidhi says that she is not at all satisfied with the payments
offered in Sandalwood. She says that the industry has fame but no money
as the heroines get only 30% of the amount a hero is paid. According to
her, this is one of the reasons that local heroines want to try their
luck in other South film industries. However, the actress is keeping
hope that the producers will look into the matter. She is hoping that
such a huge difference between the hero and heroine’s payment will be
considered very soon.
