Uyarthavan up for a May release

The Bheeshmar director, Ranjith is all set to return to direction after a long gap with his upcoming flick Uyarnthavan.. Rajnith who has also tried his hand at acting earlier will be playing the lead in Uyarnthavan as well while the female lead is played by Anglo Indian actress Caroline. The movie also includes Yuvarani, Illavarasu, Vinod, Vadivukarasi, Balu Anand and Lakshmanan as the rest of the cast and is a remake of the Malayalam movie Sallapam. The movie is mostly aiming for a May release.

In his previous movie Bheeshmar, Rajnith was seen in the role of an honest officer who is fired from service after being flakily branded insane. The movie had him acting and directing as well and though it could not prove much of a box office success, it definitely tagged Rajnith as one talented guy. Uyarnthavan was previously called Rayilu, with the name later being changed to Sindhai Mayanguthadi which was then given its final name. Lets hope the movie proves to be a box office success for the talented actor-director.
