Abhishek And Aishwarya Can’t Attend Screening Of Raavan At Venice Festival

 It was earlier reported that filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s latest Bollywood
release Raavan is going to be screened at the prestigious 67th Venice
Film Festival and the stars Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were
supposed to attend the event. However, as per the latest reports the
couple would not be able to attend the screening of their movie because
of prior promise to their brand endorsements.
The festival is going to start this Wednesday and will showcase the
Tamil and Hindi versions of the Mani Ratnam film Raavanan and Raavan.
‘That Girl In Yellow Boots’ by Anurag Kashyap will also be screened at
the festival.
A source close to Abhi-Ash was quoted saying that both the actors are
unable to attend the Venice Film Festival as it was reported because
their previous commitments fall on the same dates as the festival.
Aishwarya, who is the brand ambassador of Longines, will have to an
event for the brand and Abhishek will have to leave for Italy to shoot
for Omega, the source informed.
The source further added that the star couple has been invited in
many other film festivals like Doha and Pusan to showcase their movie
and also for individual honours. However, as per the source, the couple
will chalk out a plan to attend some of them as per their schedules.
