The third week of first month of 2011 has come up as a growing week for the television channels in the TAM data. However, the highest gainer in the line is Star Plus and it has happened mainly due to the screening of the Star Screen Awards.

The most popular serial on the small screen ‘Bandini’ is soon to go off air according to the latest reports doing the rounds. The buzz is that the serial which is produced by the Ekta Kapoor production house Balaji Telefilms is soon going to go off air due to some reasons which are not yet quite clear to all.

The reality shows have mostly opened work opportunities for its participants either in other reality shows or fiction shows. The same has happened with this year’s Bigg Boss 4 winner Shweta Tiwari and one of the top finalists Dolly Bindra.

Chotti Bahu' is soon going to be back on Zee TV with a brand new angle and totally new story to entice viewers. According to the buzz, the new story  and the cast as all been finalized and the shooting schedule is to soon start within this Sunday if possible. There are reports that the show is most likely to be launched in the romantic week of Valentine in February considering the basic storyline of love in the serial. The airing time is also supposed to remain the same with the 7.30 time slot allotted to it this time too.

Ekta Kapoor is known for her straight forward pricking words and she made no exception when it came to speaking about the rigging in award ceremonies these days. Everyone is aware of this lobbying factor but hardly anyone dares to speak against it openly.

Bollywood films have often taken inspiration from Hollywood when it comes to action sequences or presenting a romantic sequence. Now, Indian television is also being influenced by the same thing. Fiction shows have done that much before and now historical shows have also started drawing inspiration from Bollywood as well as Hollywood films.

Last night, the fans of ‘Pavitra Rishta’ got triple bonanza from Zee TV as it merged two other shows in the ‘Maha episode’. They fused the characters of the two shows ‘Ram Milayi Jodi’ and ‘Sanjog Se Bani Sangini’ thus uniting Rudra and Gauri. On the other hand, Mona and Anukalp also become able to express their feeling for each other.

'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 4' is having a Madhuri tribute this week and the participants are all geared up to give their best shot by performing on hit numbers from Madhuri’s films.

Dimpy Mahajan is happy shooting for the upcoming reality game show 'Zor Ka Jhatka' for a cable channel in India but misses her hubby dearest very much. Dimpy is in Argentina shooting for the show which is the Indian version of the US show 'Wipeout'. The show is going to be hosted by Shah Rukh Khan.

Star Plus’ popular show ‘Tere Liye’ is going to bring another twist in the coming episodes as Ritesh has already sent Anurag behind the bars. He has made a cunning plot against Anurag and Taani by blaming him for the death of Gulabo.

The reality show on UTV 'Dadagiri 4' has reportedly roped in the boxing champ Vijendra Singh and the actress Vidya Malvade, best remembered for her role as the team leader of the Hockey squad in the movie Chak De India.

Television fans are set to be entertained by a new team and story in the shape of 'Sanskaar Lakshmi', a show set to be slotted on Zee TV. The storyline for the show has not been revealed at once, but as different characters are coming on board, we are hearing their respective roles!
