Aishwarya Rai is not Sita

Along with numerous other assignments, Aishwarya Rai is also busy with Mani Ratnam's film ‘Ravana’ on which she’s been working really hard. The film also stars her husband Abhishek Bachchan in a whole new avatar and this obviously holds a special place in her heart. But she says it’s not a conventional kind of pairing.

Contrary to reports Ash is not playing a character named Sita.

She’s clarified, "The name of my character is not 'Sita'. I am playing a woman who has similarities with the Sita of 'Ramayana'. I can't give any further details about ‘Ravana’ at the moment. You will have to wait and watch. All I can say that it is an intense film set in today's time and Mani has given a totally new perspective to the art of storytelling."

Never mind the negative reviews for ‘Pink Panther 2’; she decided to call it a "joyride".

Well, this lady knows how to do her own thing and is mighty proud of her body of work!
