Anjana Anjani And Edhiran Both Tastes Success Even In Third Weekend

 Endhiran (Robot), the sci-fi melodrama vs. Anjaana Anjaani, the total
rom- com, has both done great business in the first weekend, enabling
the filmmakers of both the sleek flicks to go out with broad smiling
faces all the way to the bank.
Reports doing the rounds say that
Endhiran or Robot, has done extremely good business in the southern
sector with an amazing collection of Rs.100 crores. But, in the Hindi
version, it did not do much well, but still, it did rake in Rs.7 crore.
Anjaana
Anjaani, on the other hand, has done considerably well taking into
account the postponement of the project and the CWG games going on in
full swing! However, its great collections did not allow the film makers
to feel low; rather they are an extremely happy lot!
Amazingly,
Anjaana Anjaani, has been able to collect an astounding amount of Rs. 24
crores, and also has reportedly, earned quite an astounding figure from
the satellite rights.
Anjaana Anjaani, the flick which is being
basically considered as a teen film, has managed to entice the audiences
for its totally new approach, contemporary settings, stars like
Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra enacting believable characters with
problems similar to the ones faced by the contemporary youth. Thus, it
has not lost out to the high budget flick Endhiran. Rather, it is giving
it a tough competition!
The Friday collections of Anjaana
Anjaani was 7.25, Saturday was 8.25, and Sunday was 8 crores, according
to reports in several tabloids. All in all, it’s a win -win situation
for both the film makers!
