 Ash continues to do better as an actress and India’s international
face, perfecting even the Cannes red carpet walk where she ended up as
a head turner just recently. At the same time she continues to play
good daughter-in-law and a dutiful daughter as well.
The actress who explained how and why she still stayed with her parents
at the Oprah Winfrey show four years ago is still very much a child to
her parents.
Reportedly she’s now so scared by her dad’s illness that she makes it a
point to be at his bedside, at the first opportunity that she can grab.
Of late she's been living out of suitcases and fulfilling her many commitments.
She met Abhishek’s Nani before heading off to Cannes and after her
return took a break to be with her father. She reached on Monday from
Cannes and decided to break her journey to spend a day with her parents.
She said: "It was something I had to do. I did it more for myself than for them."
The recent film she’s working on is Vipul Shah's ‘Action Replay’
opposite Akshay Kumar, the shooting of which is happening in Karjat.
A source close to the actress informed: "Shooting in Karjat for
prolonged periods is not new to Aishwarya. For ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, she was
stationed in Karjat for so long that it became her second home. But now
circumstances have changed. After her father's illness, Aishwarya
doesn't like to be away from Mumbai for prolonged periods. Even when
she was shooting in the jungles of Kerala for Mani Ratnam, Aishwarya
made sure she visited Mumbai to be with her father.”
The source added: "Though she never lets it show in her work, being
away from home is very difficult for her now and she would like to
shoot as much as possible in Mumbai. Ironically, almost all her films
are being shot outside the city.”
She also bonded with people from the industry who are traumatised by terminal illnesses of parents.
A source added: "Aishwarya kept track of Feroz Khan's health through
Fardeen. When he passed away, she was deeply affected. At the prayer
meeting Fardeen and Aishwarya exchanged notes.”
Well, must say Ash keeps proving the fact everyday that she’s a woman
who can balance her personal and professional life well, and be a good
career woman and a daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, sister et al at the
same time.
