 Rock On girl Shahana Goswami has bagged her first Filmfare as a
supporting actress in Critics category last Saturday at Yash Raj
studio. This dusky actress was quite surprised when her name was not
announced in category for Best supporting actress as this award was
given away to Kangana Ranuat for Fashion.
We spoke to Shahana about her first Filmfare and more
“I was expecting to get best supporting at the Filmfare but I was quite
surprised when Kangana Ranuat name was announced for Fashion as every
one where expecting my name and with this I wasn’t expecting that I
will get in the same category but for critics but I’m very happy for
Kangana.”
Further she said that,” But I’m very happy that finally I have got
Filmfare for the work I have done during Rock On and it was Gattu’s
(Abhishek Kapoor) confidence in me and in the script which gave my
first Filmfare and so with this there will be lot more expectations
from the respected juries and also my fans who had loved my role in the
Rock On and this award I owe to all my fans and well-wishers.”
So now what after Rock On..?
“There are total three films which are releasing at different intervals
as in March its Nandita Das Firaaq” then in April its Jashn with
Adhayayan Suman and then in June it’s “Tera Kya Hoga Johnny” with Neil
Nitin Mukesh...”
This Delhi girl hasn’t yet signed a single film as she is waiting for
the right script like Rock On as this year all the awards in the
category of best supporting actress for Rock On has gone to her as
before this movie she has done films like Honeymoon Travels Pvt.Ltd as
in this film she had done a small role of Boman Irani’s daughter.
