Fashion designer Sue Wong is going to launch her lavish ready-to-wear
collection, which is inspired by the movie Eat Pray Love starring Julia
Roberts. The release of her collection and the movie will take place on
the same day on August 13. Eat Pray Love is directed by Ryan Murphy
(Glee).
The US department stores like Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Saks
Fifth Avenue and their online stores will have this special limited
edition of the luxurious collection.
HSN, the Home Shopping Network’s television channel will sell some of
these items exclusively. The channel will dedicate three days from
August 6 to 8 for an Eat Pray Love theme, which will feature items from
the locales covered in the film – India, Italy, and Bali.
Naeem Khan and Ranjana Khan clothing will join the collection of Sue
Wong and jewellery collection by the Glitter star Padma Lakshmi. Indian
and Indonesian locales, which are included in the film, will be
reflected in Sue Wong’s collection.
This latest collection is going to Wong’s first-ever line of
separates as she is renowned for her gowns collection. Hollywood glamour
and romance also invoke in her designs.
In a press release, the designer Wong said, “I am happy to create a
collection that is exotic, timeless, and striking, which is organic to
the journey in the upcoming film and the book that inspired the movie”.
Eat Pray Love is based on the bestselling book by Elizabeth Gilbert,
which elaborates her year-long journey across the world and her hunt to
change her life.
