Big B Outperforms Salman And Akshay On Small Screen

This just goes on to show that Big B is still the ruling man in whole of Bollywood, be it the big or the small screen. A recent review has shown that ‘KBC 4’ has outgunned reality television shows like ‘Bigg Boss 4’ and ‘Master Chef’ on TRP ratings. This means that a larger section of people in India would rather watch Amitabh Bachchan belting out his questions in ‘KBC’, rather than the onscreen histrionics of actors Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

While reports claimed that ‘Bigg Boss 4’ had a good opening prior to the launch of the fourth season of ‘KBC’, viewers gradually lost interest in the reality TV show after ‘KBC 4’ was introduced in the same time slot. The show has recorded a steady decline in ratings with each passing week. Television analysts are of the opinion that while people tune in to ‘KBC 4’, eager to hear the signature baritone of Big B, only certain episodes of ’Bigg Boss 4’ draw the viewers to their television sets. On the other hand, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Master Chef’ has been the most disappointing TV show by a Bollywood actor in recent times.

Amitabh Bachchan still rules, be it cinema or television, but will the producers of Salman’s and Akshay’s shows create something magical in weeks to come? Wait and watch!
