 Chota Ganpathi Telecreations’ ‘Do Saheliyaan – Kismat Ki
Kathputaliyaan’ has taken a long time to launch. The show was earlier
titled Chauda Phere. Promos of the show with the old title had hit the
airwaves towards the end of 2009. However, the show was eventually
launched on March 1, 2010.
History shows that more the delay, the more the chances of the show
meeting an abrupt end. As often, it’s TRPs that prove to be their bane.
Rumour has it that Zee TV is likely to pull the plug on this Ratna Sinha
show in the coming months.
“The show has drifted from its original plot which was to see the
four main characters – Shaurya, Maithali, Bhawri, and Anaadi regularly
on the show. With Shaurya dead, it’s now become a love triangle. ‘Do
Saheliyaan’ usually hovers around the 1 TRP mark. A couple of shows are
waiting in the anvil and Zee TV is likely to pull the plug on ‘Do
Saheliyaan’ first,” said a source.
Sulagna Panigrahi, who plays Maithali, claimed ignorance. “Honestly, I
haven’t heard anything on this. Nor am I aware of the TRPs.”
Producer Ratna SInha and Zee TV head (fiction) Sukesh Motwani
remained unavailable for comment.
