Himani happier post Sunil's departure

The departure of co-host Sunil Pal from Zee's "Antakshari" has left Himani Kapoor much happier - and quite relieved.

Talking about him, Himani told IANS: "I don't know what his (Sunil's) problem was. He bad-mouthed me everywhere saying he had to leave 'Antakshari' because of me. When I asked him to explain, he told me to forget it... And that's exactly what I've done ever since Karan Oberoi came in to partner me in Sunil's place."

She says it's fun to host the show with Karan. Incidentally, Karan is currently dating Mona "Jassi" Singh.

"I'm finally having fun on the show. No more tension. And because Karan is a singer, I'm finally having a good time singing duets for the contestants. Karan has me in splits. He's very entertaining both off and on camera. Even his PJs are funny."

Was Sunil insecure?

"Sunil had major ego issues with Himani from day one. He couldn't tolerate the fact that she was a singer and therefore far more active on the show. Sunil is basically a comic talent. He was brought in for the laughs. He couldn't take Himani taking centre-stage," said a source.
