 June 14 is the proposed telecast date for Balaji Telefilms’ desi
version of the popular series Twilight. However, Balaji is yet to finds
the main protagonists Abhay and Pia.
Ekta Kapoor is having a hard time hunting for most characters.
Interestingly, Balaji has been conducting auditions for the show since
several months now. They had invited youngsters for auditions through
different social networking sites.
“The problem is not about having a rookie or familiar actors, the
problem has been that most of the people who we’ve auditioned are
struggling to fit into the requisite characters. Abhay and Pia aren’t
ordinary characters and it’s definitely not easy to find a character
that falls in love with a vampire. Contrary to some reports, Ridhi Dogra
didn’t audition for the lead role at all. I don’t think she’s doing the
show now. The schedule is supposed to be launched on June 14. We’re
hoping to find the leads in a week or so,” said a source.
Meanwhile, Ridhi Dogra says that she’s out of the show.
“I’m not doing that show. It’s been well over two months since I had
auditioned for the protagonist’s role as well as for her two sisters.
However, I haven’t got any call from them,” confirmed Dogra.
