Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi movie review

This movie directed by Aditya Chopra was greatly appreciated since it was a unique comeback of him after a long gap after DDLJ and Mohabattein, also loved and respected by public. People might say that Yash Raj Films favors SRK to star in all his movies without exception.  But this is arguable since this team was occupied in various projects and were always in success. But on the higher level. Each one of the team members is a unique and greatly talented person to add something fresh and new to the team work. Aditya Chopra chooses a theme so customary to India and creates completely different story of a ordinary couple.

Like Shahrukh Khan changes his life in this movie, so the director Aditya Chopra does a significant change in the movie industry stepping towards something new and sophisticated. Unlike the traditions and customs adopted in Indian movies and so loved all over the world, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is an absolute break from customary wonderful and picturesque YRF produced movies with those glamorous and sporty models and baby dolls in designer trend cloths.

The story begins with Shah Rukh and Anushka concerned in each other. And later on everybody is shaken by the intrigue and fascinating moment when Surinder makes over into Raj.

Goin' back to the very beginning, Surinder Sahni starred by Shah Rukh Khan, lives a simple and ordinary life who is employed by Punjab Power until the day when he meets Taani starred by Anushka Sharma. He is an introverted, sincere realist while Taani is an extraverted, loud and fun-loving dreamer. She was supposed to get married to Surinder, stranger to her, set by her father. He was her father's favorite student. Moreover, her husband-to-be also died in the road accident. And very soon she gets married to Surinder and starts her dull and routine life with a person whom she does not love and understand at all.

Running from the routine work with the unloved guy, Taani decides to learn dancing and take part in the reality show called "Dancing Jodi". And she starts attending dancing classes. Her husband loves her so much that he decides for the trick. His friend "Bobby" helped him to metamorphose physically into the very different-looking person named Raj. Unlike Surinder that Raj is smart, outspoken and fun loving person like her who favorably becomes her dancing partner in the show.

TRab Ne Bana Di Jodi movie reviewhe trick Surinder used is the key element to go throughout the whole story. Taani does not recognize her husband and feels that Raj is more appropriate and close to her personality and temper than her husband, so she gradually falls in love with him. Moreover, she was ready to run away with Raj from Amritsar at the end of the competition. The key question is who wins, Surinder or Raj, who will capture the heart of that beauty?

And the culmination is very dramatic but touching at the same time. The false lady-killer does not reveal the truth to Taani since he wants to find out who she loves in real. Him, the quiet and honest gov't employee and the showy dancer or that loud and ladies man, Raj.

Yet, Shah Rukh Khan professionally played his double role changing from one image to another with sincerely and artistically, from shy Surinder to the showy Raj. He is loved and adorned by many people for his openness and play. And what is remarkable in this movie that Anushka is very comfortable and confident playing at the same stage with such a star. And moreover, she contributes a lot to make their couple effective-looking and winning. And as "Bobby" Vinay Pathak is incredible. He contributes enormously in making the scenes lively and merry.

Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is a touching and promising movie that arise emotions, both romantic and stronger ones. Aditya Chopra, the director, is so professional and farseeing with the concepts that he managed to mix various feelings in the true and adequate composition to "intake" successfully by public.
