'Kadukkittu': Malayalam song of the fortnight

The songs of three new releases - "Hello", "Arabikatha" and "July4" - zoom to the top of the charts.

The top five Malayalam songs are:

1. "Kadukkittu": Film - "Hello"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: M.G. Sreekumar and Sangeetha Prabhu. This is an Adipoli song, typical of a Mohanlal film that makes his fans swing to its tune.

2. "Thirike": Film - "Arabikatha"; Music: Bijibal; Lyrics: Anil Panachooran; Singer: Yesudas. The song is about a longing for the motherland, which is heightened by the sentimental voice of Yesudas.

3. "Kattupoocha kurumbi": Film - "July 4"; Music: Ousepachan; Lyrics. Shibu Chakravarthy; Singers: Afsal and Sayonara. A hep song and its lyrics will please the youth.

4. "Chella Thamara": Film - "Hello"; Music: Alex Paul; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singers: K.S. Chitra and Sangeetha Prabhu. Chitra makes it again to this list with her soothing voice.

5. "Kaiyetha": Film - "Vinodayathra"; Music: Ilayaraja; Lyrics: Sarath Varma; Singer: Manjari. The Manjari-Meera combination has worked again as a hit formula.
