Kannada star Ganesh may play old self in 'Krishna'

Popular Kannada star Ganesh might play his own former self - of
a popular TV anchor - in his forthcoming film "Krishna". Director
M.D. Sridhar has roped him in to play the role that he was in real
life before he became a film star.
He was widely known as the anchor of the hugely popular "Comedy
Time" show on Udaya TV. He was so popular that people started
calling him 'Comedy Time' Ganesh.
Speculation is rife that the film might show the humiliations and
frustrations he suffered while struggling to find a place in
Kannada cinema. However, neither Ganesh nor Sridhar has confirmed
it. They are tight-lipped about the story of "Krishna".
Observers are waiting for the release of the film's audio on Aug
24. They hope the lyrics and film's trailer may give an idea about
the content.
Ganesh will share the screen with two heroines - Pooja Gandhi and
Sharmila. Though this is his first with Sharmila, he and Pooja were
earlier seen in runaway hit "Mungaru Male".
The film's success catapulted him into the big league. His stature
grew further after two subsequent hits - "Hudugaata" and "Cheluvina
Chiththaara".
Harikrishna scores music for 'Krishna', to be produced by Ramesh
Yadav.
