Rumours
of a romance have been doing the rounds for some time, but it is
official now -- Malayalam cinema's comedy king Jagathy Sreekumar's
daughter and leading politico P.C. George's son are likely to get
married soon.
Dismissing
reports that his son Shone and Sreekumar's daughter Parvathy have
already registered their marriage, Kerala Congress-Secular leader
George says his political adversaries had been spreading "canards".
"My
son Shone is practicing law while the girl Parvathy is finishing her
course in law only next year. Initially, I felt that she should also
complete her law. But now with unnecessary rumours being spread, I feel
it is time they are married," George told IANS.
The five-time legislator said he had last month received a call from Sreekumar, who said he would like to come over for a visit.
"He
said his daughter likes my son - that was when I came to know about the
affair. I immediately called my son and asked him and he agreed. With
things reaching this stage, I too agreed to their demand," George said.
While
George recently formed his own party and sits in the treasury benches,
Sreekumar is one of the busiest actors in the Malayalam film industry.
He has acted in more than a thousand Malayalam films over the last
three decades.
